▼ about  –  new york city

I work in finance. I am writing now, or trying to. These two facts feel contradictory and may not be.

What I am interested in: the texture of consciousness, the way memory distorts the thing it’s supposed to preserve, how women describe their own interiority and whether that description is ever trustworthy. I am interested in sentences that do more than they appear to do.

I have been reading Cusk and Ferrante and Moshfegh and Nothomb and Adler and Hjorth. I am beginning to read Levy and Ernaux. I am a Libra if that matters to you. It matters to me more than I admit.

This site is a personal listing. Objects include: essays in progress, completed fragments, professional work, and one poorly-lit photograph I took that I think is actually good.
